Happy days at AC

Toisen lukukauden ensimmäisestä puoliskosta on jo puolet ohi. Välillä pelottaa, kun aika menee niin nopeaa. Enhän mä ole vielä ehtinyt tehdä tai oppia juuri mitään. Toisaalta koti-ikävä-minä on iloinen, että kohta on jo projektiviikko ja sitten pääsiäisloma ja pääsen taas kotiin palelemaan ja syömään ja nukkumaan. Sillä välin yritän kylläkin ottaa tästä lukukaudesta kaiken irti, sillä ensi syksynä meno muuttuu paljon työkeskeisemmäksi, ja ykkösvuoden loppukokeetkin alkaa lähestyä. Joten tällä viikolla olen iloinnut...

- Kauniista ilmasta :) Kyllä aamuisin on paljon kivempi herätä ja kävellä tunneille kun vastassa on aurinkoa ja linnunlaulua

- Siitä, että mun Extended Essayn aihe-ehdotelma hyväksyttiin :) Aineeksi valitsin kansainvälisen politiikan ja essee käsittelee tiivistettynä äärinationalismia ja maahanmuuttajiin kohdistuvaa väkivaltaa Kreikassa.

- Stressittömyydestä. Saan huomenna mun seuraavat väliarvosanat, mutta tämä viikko on ollut jotenkin erityisen rento. Siitä kannattaa nauttia, sillä ikinä ei tiedä miten paljon hommia seuraavalle viikolle kasaantuu.

- Mun suomalaisten koulukavereiden vanhojentansseista :) Oli ihana nähdä kuvia ja videoita vaikka tulikin itselle haikea olo.

- Ystävänpäivästä ystävien seurassa. Vietettiin se Cardiffissa ja käytiin katsomassa Stephen Hawkingista kertova leffa.

Hymyilyttää :D

- Konserttilipuista. Imagine Dragons esiintyy Cardiffissa 11.11 tänä vuonna, ja varasin tänään Chloèn kanssa liput. Kiva kun ensi lukukaudellekkin on jotain erityisen hauskaa luvassa.

Otin tämän vuoden alussa tavaksi, että kirjoitan läksyjen ja koulujuttujen lisäksi kalenteriin kaikki kivat edessä olevat tapahtumat vihreällä. Mulla tulee hyvä mieli, kun tulevien viikkojen yleisnäkymä näyttää positiiviselta. Ensi viikolla aion ainakin yrittää parantua mua edelleen vaivaavasta nuhasta, käydä uimassa, aloittaa mun toisen tutkielman ja käydä IKEAssa, jos vaan aikaa riittää :)

//Half of the half term is gone already. It scares me, that time goes so quickly. I feel like I haven't even really started doing or learning anything yet. On the other hand, the homesick side of me is happy that project week and easter break are not that far away. I can't wait to go home and feel cold and sleep and eat. - The great weather. It's so much nicer to wake up and go to codes when the sun is out and birds are singing.

- That my EE proposal for group 3 got accepted! I chose Glopal Politics and the topic is ultranationalism and violence towards immigrants.

- Being stressless. We'll get our third progress grades tomorrow, but still the week has been really relaxed. I've been enjoying it because you'll never know how many things there are to do next week.

- The 'Prom' of my Finnish friends. It's more like a traditional dance performance to celebrate that the second years are now the oldest of the school, since the third years have started their revision break. I loved the photos and videos even though it made me miss them.

- Spending Valentine's day with friends. It's actually called 'a friend's day' in Finnish and it's not only about romantic relationships. We went to Cardiff to see the movie about Stephen Hawking.

- Concert tickets! Imagine Dragons is coming to Cardiff on November. I bought the ticket's today with Chloè.

In the beginning of the year, I started marking everything nice that's coming up to my calendar next to the homework and deadlines. I always write them with a green pen, and seeing the green bits on my calendar all over next few weeks makes me a lot happier. Next week I'm going to get rid of this cold that's been bothering me for a while now, go swimming, start my next IA and go to IKEA if I have enough time.
